Many tech teams in Poland work in English every day. Stand-ups, code reviews, documentation and Slack are all in English, because the team is international or the product is sold abroad. This page lists the companies on our board where that is the case.
The list below updates automatically from our job data. You can also browse all English-speaking jobs or every company on the board.
How we decide a company works in English
We don’t take “international team” at face value. Before a company appears on the board, we check its own public pages: job ads, careers site and engineering blog. For each company we record one of three levels:
- Verified: a public page from the company says English is the working language, or its job ads say no Polish is required. We keep the link as evidence.
- Likely: job ads are written in English and don’t ask for Polish, but the company doesn’t say so directly.
- Unknown: we couldn’t tell. These companies can still post jobs, but only roles that don’t require Polish.
Each job is also checked on its own. If a specific ad asks for fluent Polish, it doesn’t show up as English-speaking, even at an English-first company. Ads that say “Polish is a plus” or “Polish is nice to have” still count: the language helps but isn’t required.
Companies hiring English speakers right now
The list below shows approved companies with at least one active job where no Polish is required. It’s regenerated every time the site is deployed.

Missing a company you know works in English? Tell us through the post a job page and we’ll review it.
Where the English-speaking jobs are
Most English-speaking tech roles on this board are in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław. Each city page shows current jobs, the share with visa sponsorship and the salaries employers have posted.
Many companies also hire for remote roles inside Poland. See remote jobs, and check each ad’s “Apply from” field. Some remote roles still need you to live and pay tax in Poland.
What “English-speaking” usually means in practice
At the companies on this list, you can expect to:
- interview in English, often with a take-home task or live coding session;
- work in English with your team, your manager and in written documentation;
- sign an employment contract or a B2B agreement that may be in Polish, sometimes bilingual. Ask for an English translation before you sign.
Outside work is different. Landlords, public offices and doctors often use Polish. Our relocation checklist covers the admin steps and where English help is available.
Does it matter if I never learn Polish?
For the job itself, usually not. For staying long term, it can. If you’re not an EU citizen, the long-term EU resident permit requires proof of Polish at level B1 or higher (Office for Foreigners).
EU citizens have different residence rules. Our guide on getting a tech job in Poland without Polish has more tips.
Salaries at these companies
Many ads on this board show a salary range, as posted by the employer. Polish ads often show a monthly amount in PLN, sometimes two ranges: one for an employment contract and one for B2B. Since 24 December 2025, Polish employers must tell candidates for an employment contract the starting pay or pay range, ideally in the ad and at the latest before the contract is signed. They also may not ask about your previous salary (National Labour Inspectorate).
See our salary guide for what those numbers mean after tax, and the tax basics guide for B2B vs employment.
Frequently asked questions
Can I work in IT in Poland if I only speak English?
Yes. Many tech teams in Poland run stand-ups, code reviews, documentation and chat in English, because the team is international or the product is sold abroad. Life outside work is different: landlords, public offices and doctors often use Polish, so expect some everyday admin in Polish and look for English help where it’s offered.
Which Polish cities have the most English-speaking tech jobs?
On this board, most English-speaking tech roles are in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław. Each city page shows current jobs, the share with visa sponsorship and posted salaries. There are remote roles inside Poland too, but check each ad’s Apply from field, because some still need you to live and pay tax in Poland.
Does “Polish is a plus” mean I need to speak Polish?
No. Ads that say Polish is a plus or nice to have still count as English-speaking on this board, because the language helps but isn’t required. If a specific ad asks for fluent Polish, we don’t show it as English-speaking, even when the company otherwise works in English.
Will my employment contract be in English?
Not necessarily. Even at English-first companies, the employment contract or B2B agreement may be in Polish, sometimes bilingual. Ask for an English translation and read it before you sign. Interviews, teamwork and written documentation, on the other hand, are usually in English at the companies on this list.
Do I need to learn Polish to stay in Poland long term?
For the job itself, usually not. For staying long term, it can matter. If you’re not an EU citizen, the long-term EU resident permit requires at least 5 years of residence and proof of Polish at level B1 or higher. EU citizens have different residence rules, so check which ones apply to you.
